Basic terms
For a better understanding of the functioning of the Agility Manager system and a better reading of the documentation, it is necessary to understand the individual terms that Agility Manager uses. Below is a list of important terms and their explanation as they are understood in the context of Agility Manager.
Term | Explanation |
---|---|
Team | The team consists of a dog and a handler. Each team includes one competitor (handler) and one dog. On the competition start teams. |
Team type | It is a team property, according to which teams can be divided into arbitrary categories. It is possible to create, for example, types Juniors, Children, Finalists, etc. Each team can be assigned a type. Agility Manager then allows you to create a starting list consisting of only selected types of teams or generate special results. |
Run | A run represents one parkour. The parkour parameters (length, number of obstacles, standard and maximum time), judge, type of run, etc. are linked to the run. The run includes starting lists. |
Starting list | Is a list of starting teams within one run. The starting list has its own size category. As a rule, one run contains 4 starting lists (small, medium, intermediate and large). The results of individual teams are recorded in the starting list. After the teams have caught up, a result list is also generated from the starting list. |
Live results | Live results are used to display both interim and final results at the competition venue. As a rule, it can be, for example, on monitors near parkour, etc. The live result is always linked to one starting list and shows the results of the teams in the given starting list. Live results can only be watched at the competition venue if the competition organizer allows it. |
Online results | Online results are results that are available in the Agility Manager mobile application. Anyone can follow the online results in the mobile application, even if they are not at the competition. |
Mobile application Agility Manager | Is a mobile application called Agility Manager for iOS and Android platforms, which is publicly and freely available to anyone from anywhere in the world. Anyone can watch the competition online using this app. |
Summaries | A summary is a type of results that is calculated from two or more results. Agility Manager currently supports two types of summaries (point and classic) and calculates the result of the total according to them. |
Special results | The special results allows multiple types of results to be generated from one starting list according to the type of team. It means that with the help of special results, it is possible to generate several types of results from one completed starting list. For example, the result of only juniors or only teams in final. |
Special summary results | Same summary as regular summary but for special results only. |
Presentation of the team | Marking the team as presented. When importing teams from Excel or manually adding a team, the team is marked as not presented. Gradually, as competitors arrive at the competition, the organizer must present them in the Agility Manager system and thereby confirm that they have actually arrived at the competition and will compete. Only teams that are marked as presented will be generated in the starting lists. |
