Preparation of starting lists

The starting lists are always linked to one run and contain a list of teams running the given run in the selected category.

Starting lists are created in the details of the run with the + Create starting list or +++ Create starting lists buttons.

Creation of starting lists

+ Create starting list - this button opens the form for adding a starting list.

+++ Create starting lists - this button will automatically create 4 starting lists for the categories SMALL, MEDIUM, INTERMEDIATE and LARGE.

Adding or modifying the starting list

Adding or editing the starting list can be called up from the run details by clicking the + Create starting list button or the Edit button in the list of starting lists.

The form for adding / changing the starting list will be displayed.

Detail of the starting list

The starting list defines which teams will be assigned to the given starting list. In open competition, the starting lists are usually divided according to the size category. In exams, they are also divided according to performance category.

Name - enter the name of the starting list. For clarity, we recommend calling the starting lists by size category.

Sizes - select a size category for the starting list.

Categories - select one or more performance categories for the starting list. If it is an open run, all performance categories except VETERAN must be marked. If the run is, for example, an A3 test, it is necessary to mark only the performance category A3.

**Team type - mark the types of teams that you wish to assign to the starting list. In this way, it is possible to make a starting list, for example, only for border collie breed or finalists.

Standard time, Maximum time, Length and Number of obstacles - these are parkour parameters that are already entered within the run. In practice, sometimes there is a situation where the judge determines different parkour parameters for a different size category. Typically, it is for the LARGE category, where after running the SMALL and MEDIUM categories, he adjusts some obstacles on the parkour and thereby changes the length of the parkour and sometimes the number of obstacles. So that in such a case it is not necessary to create a new independent run with one starting list, it is possible to set different parkour parameters to the starting list than the run. If you leave all values at 0, it means that parkour parameters from run will be used. If you set values other than 0, the parkour settings from the starting list will be used.

Warning

The functionality for entering other parkour parameters in the starting list than run is new and not yet thoroughly tested. Therefore, we do not recommend using it in sharp competition yet.

Generation of the starting list

The created starting list is set but does not contain any teams unless it is generated - the starting list is empty. By generating, the starting list is physically filled with all the teams that meet the set criteria for the given starting list and at the same time the team is presented. Only presented teams will bee generate to the starting list.

The generating of the starting list is started by clicking on the Generate starting list button.

Generation of the starting list

After generation, new buttons with the following functionalities will be available on the starting list.

Generation of the starting list

Starting list - displays the starting list or the starting list for announcement to the start.

Results - displays the results. These results can also be displayed continuously while the teams are running.

Export to XLS - generates excel files from which it is possible to print starting lists, results and the basis for manual recording in paper form.

  • Starting list - generates an excel with the list of starting teams
  • Results - generates an excel with the results
  • Manual entry - generates Excel from the list of starting teams for manual entry. It is used as a backup for recording the results manually on paper in case of technical failure or to check in the event of a competitor's protest whether there was an error in recording the result into the computer. Also used to record manual backup time.
Blocking the generation of the starting list

You can generate the starting list repeatedly. If you already have the starting list generated and an additional team is presented or added, the starting list can be regenerated again and the new team will be added to the starting list.

However, as soon as the result of the run of at least one team is entered for the given starting list, the generation of the starting list is no longer possible. The system does not offer the generation functionality if the result of at least one team is already entered. It is a protection against someone not accidentally regenerating the starting list after starting the competition.

Changing the order of the teams in the starting list

The order in the generated starting list will be determined by the system according to the start numbers. If necessary, this order of teams can be changed in the starting list. Changing the order of the teams in the starting list will only be valid for the given starting list. In the list of starting lists, click on the Starting list / Starting list button for the given starting list. Then click on the Arrow button up or down for the desired team and choose how many positions you want to move the team.

Change of the order

Warning

If you change the order of the teams in the starting list, be careful about regenerating the starting list. If you regenerate the starting list again, the order you changed will be canceled and reset according to the start number.

Creating reverse starting list

A reverse starting list can be created from the results of another starting list. It is used when we need to create the starting order of the teams according to how the teams were placed in another run. A typical example is, for example, the world championship, where the order of the agility run is determined according to the position in the jumping run. The team placed first in jumping starts last in agility, the second team in order starts second to last, and so on.

You can create a reverse starting list in the same way as a standard starting list by clicking the button Create starting list in the details of the run. At the bottom of the screen, you enter Name and select Starting list, from the results of which you want to create a reverse starting list.

Generating of the reverse starting list

Warning

Once you have created an reversed starting list, you must not regenerate it again because the order of the teams according to the start numbers will change.
